
Elevating athlete expression across distinct creative worlds
The Challenge
PUMA Football set out to launch the SS25 Creativity Pack with a campaign that foregrounded athlete individuality rather than a single, homogenised look. The challenge was to bring together Neymar and Memphis Depay within one creative universe, despite them never being photographed together, and to do so in a way that felt expressive, credible and product-led.
The work needed to speak across football and culture, function across multiple formats, and create space for contrast without losing cohesion. This required a creative system that could hold difference as a strength rather than a complication.


Strategy
The strategic move was to treat contrast as a unifying force.
Rather than forcing sameness, we positioned athlete difference as the organising principle of the campaign. Expression, posture and energy became signals of individuality, while structure, composition and rhythm created coherence across the system.
This approach allowed PUMA to communicate that creativity and performance are not opposites. They are mutually reinforcing expressions of how modern athletes show up in the world.




Approach
To realise this strategy, we built a visual language driven by contrast and compositional tension.
The campaign world pairs saturated purples with cool cyan, creating distinct visual territories that nonetheless share a structural rhythm. Bold lighting and mirrored gestures allowed Neymar and Melo to occupy the same creative field without being physically together, while product-led imagery maintained clarity and focus.
Rather than homogenising the athletes’ expressions, we enabled each to breathe within their own space. The visual system extends into dynamic postures, floating product compositions and layered textures, giving the campaign flexibility across formats, from social to out-of-home to digital.
At every point, the visual approach prioritised athlete authenticity and expressive clarity over forced uniformity.





Outcome
The SS25 Creativity Pack for PUMA Football launched with a cohesive campaign world that celebrates contrast, individuality and creative energy while maintaining product clarity and brand coherence.
By embracing difference rather than smoothing it out, the work gave PUMA a flexible creative system that could extend across athletes, formats and environments. The campaign balanced precision with personality, allowing each athlete to show up authentically while still contributing to a singular PUMA narrative.
This was not just a campaign execution. It was a shift in how PUMA can express athlete identity within its wider brand world.
